Ohhhhh how I love my lys!! They received a huge shipment of fiber yesterday.
I completely fell off of my "saving all my pennies for a new sewing machine" wagon.
More like fell off and run over!!!

(It's very similar to Raspberry Sorbet, but different. I swear)

Frabjous Fibers Hand-Dyed BFL-Silk Blend in Potash
Are you finished drooling? =P Aren't they pretty? There are two more colors that I really want. I'm trying really hard not to drive down there and get them =P
Would you like to see my socks?
Ta-Da!!!!
I finished them up on Saturday and I've already picked out my next sock pattern. If this next pair is on my needles for almost another year, I'll cry.
And last, but not least, something cute for my hubby.
We both have the same 20 oz. travel mug and always get them mixed up. Now his has a little sleeve, so we can tell them apart. The standard Starbuck's sleeve was too small, so I had to draft up a pattern making it a bit bigger. I think it's quite cute, but very manly *insert man grunt here* lol!!
Until next time...

oh my goodness!! As if my addiction to fabric is not enough!!! Love, love your mug sleeve too!! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful fleeces, especially that blue one. I've been tempted to learn to spin in the past but so far the size of the UFO pile makes me pause.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Those yarns are so pretty, I can see why they had to go home with you! I love the names too. Rise petal looks good enough to eat! Your manly sleeve is excellent, love the grunt :)
ReplyDeleteOMG is it wrong that I want to tuck those yarns into icecream cones and eat them?? They look luscious! I made the mistake of deciding to keep track of my craft expenditures this year. This is not a good thing. NOT A GOOD THING! The socks are gorgeous, and just in time for this wicked cold spell - and the coffee sleeve is cute too - in a manly grunty (one might say ... burpy!) sort of way!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you bought all that fiber so that I don't have to. ;-) I'm on a bit of a self-imposed fiber diet right now (I really want to spin down all the fiber in my stash), but there was a Yarn Hollow braid that was calling my name on Saturday when I was at the shop. I'm hoping someone else buys it before I have to.
ReplyDeleteWow, they are amazing! And the yarns are great, too! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love your socks...so cozy looking, and love the colors. But your fibers are very beautiful...will be watching to see what you create! :)
